Our physical exfoliant of choice in the majority of our scrubs is something most of you have in your home: granulated sugar. We love sugar because it is substantial enough to scrub away dead skin effectively, but it is gentle and dissolves when mixed with water to avoid over-scrubbing the skin. Sugar also acts as a natural humectant. Humectants draw moisture from the environment into the skin, and therefore, sugar helps to hydrate and moisturize your skin.
